LogBeyond ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the LogBeyond platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account Information
When you create a LogBeyond account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. You may also optionally provide your pilot type, current licence level, and training goals.
Flight Logbook Data
The core of the Service is your flight log. We store all flight entries you create, including date, duration, aircraft type and registration, departure and arrival airports, flight conditions, pilot-in-command/co-pilot names, and any notes you add.
Goals and Statistics
We store the training objectives, hour targets, and progress data you set within the Service, as well as computed statistics derived from your flight data.
Payment Information
If a paid subscription is introduced, payments will be securely processed by a third-party provider such as Stripe. LogBeyond does not store your full credit card number or sensitive payment details on our servers.
We use session cookies to keep you logged in securely. These are essential for the Service to function and do not track you across third-party websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We take security seriously. Your password is never stored in plain text — we use industry-standard hashing (bcrypt). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our infrastructure is hosted on secure, managed cloud servers with regular backups.
While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely immune to risk. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
We retain your personal data and flight records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain information.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@logbeyond.com.
You can delete your LogBeyond account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data — flight records, goals, and personal information — from our systems. This action is irreversible.
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as payment processors). These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
LogBeyond is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
